Bundling will allow you to easily share and distribute your Presentation to other users. It is an extremely valuable tool for organizations where the sharing of resources and coordinated team work is essential.
When you click the BUNDLE button, you will be prompted to name and create a directory within your PGallery folder. PG will then copy your Presentation and all necessary supporting files into that directory. (A 'Readme.txt' file will also be included containing further instructions on playing the Presentation.) The Bundle dialog box will then present you with two options.
BUNDLE ALL should be selected when you are distributing your work to someone who does not have Presentation Gallery, or who is not working from the same PG CD-ROM Title as you. Here, Bundling includes every Resource from your Time-Line as well as the SOHO version of the PG software itself. Note that in this case, the size of your bundled directory could become quite large, particularly if your Presentation contains large Resources such as videos.
Select Bundle Hard Drive Resources when you are distributing your Presentation to someone who is working from the same PG CD-ROM Title. Here, Bundling will only include non-CD based Resources if they exist in your Time-Line. For example, new created Resources you may have brought into My Gallery. In this case, the size of your bundled directory can be quite small and easily distributed via a floppy disk or an email attachment.
Once Bundling is complete, you will find your bundled directory within your PGallery folder at the root of your hard drive. Here, a good strategy is to zip or compress the folder so that it is smaller and easier to distribute. Once this bundled directory is placed within another user's PGallery directory, they will then be able to open it via their LOAD button.
Finally, note that PG can not bundle and distribute actual windows programs which could exist in your Presentation. Similarly, additional components used by an External Show, or a particular font used in a Composition will not be bundled. You should ensure that others viewing your Presentation have their Windows system appropriately configured.
